Online Training

Introduction
United Imaging is proud to announce the launch of a brand new web based training service. This totally interactive service is available to all new customers and existing customers. Although traditional training will continue to be offered, the new web based training promises to cut the training costs to the customer by 50% while at the same time providing a more comprehensive learning experience. It is no longer necessary to endure day long or two day long training "marathons" that require blocking out large amounts of productive office time. With web based training you can schedule as little as 30 minutes or up to several hours of personalized training in each session. These shorter sessions promote a better understanding of the United Imaging Software and allow each individual to learn at his or her own pace. Best of all, training can be done from any computer with a high speed internet connection.

The training is set up by appointment and one of our trainers will be on the phone with you when you log onto our computer. Once you are logged on you and your trainer are both viewing the same "session." You and the trainer can take turns operating the program. When the trainer is operating the program you see everything the trainer is doing in "real time." Conversely, when you pick up your mouse and operate the program the trainer sees precisely what you are doing. It is exactly as though you are both sitting in front of the same computer. This method of training allows you to get a "feel" for the product without the hassle and expense of on-site instruction. See the animation below:

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What do you mean by "web based" training?
A. We use the internet to allow you to connect to our network server in North Carolina. Once connected you can run any of our three software programs from your computer.

Q. Do I need to have the Imaging or Archiving software installed on my computer?
A. No. The software appears to be running from your computer but is actually running from our network server in North Carolina. This allows you to do training from the office, home, or anywhere.

Q. What makes this training "interactive"?
A. The training is set up by appointment and one of our trainers will be on the phone with you when you log onto our computer. Once you are logged on you and your trainer are both viewing the same "session." It becomes "interactive" by virtue of the fact that you and the trainer can take turns operating the program. When the trainer is operating the program you see everything the trainer is doing in "real time." Conversely, when you pick up your mouse and operate the program the trainer sees precisely what you are doing. It is exactly as though you are both sitting in front of the same computer.

Q. How does the web based training save me money?
A. Simple. The fees you pay for the traditional on-site training include airline tickets, rental cars, hotel accommodations, meals, parking, and other incidentals. With web-based training none of these expenses are necessary.

Q. How will I know how to "log-on" and start the training session?
A. Essentially, you log-on by going to our web site. We will send you a short list of specific instructions and will be glad to call you and walk you through the process. In less than 5 minutes you will be ready to begin.

Q. What kind of internet connection do I need?
A. You will need either a cable modem or DSL service. Our experience is that cable modem is faster than DSL at the same basic service levels.

Q. Do I need to have the internet connected to my Imaging or Archiving computer?
A. No, but if you have high speed internet in the office already and could include your imaging or archiving system in the hook up, it would allow you to import your own pictures and to practice with your drawing tablet and pen to do certain functions.

Q. What about patient confidentiality?
A. The pictures we both will see during training will be coming from our database, not your patient database. If you want to import a specific picture into our database that does not breach patient confidentiality, you may do so.

Q. How soon can we schedule a session?
A. Right away! Call us now at 800-511-5416 to schedule a session with one our skilled trainers!
