In 1985 the technology was developed which allowed color pictures to be brought into the computer environment. At that time United Imaging, Inc. could see the vast potential of this technology and began designing systems and software to allow physicians to communicate visually with their patients.

United Imaging, Inc. is the oldest imaging company serving the plastic surgery field and has been the industry leader since its inception in 1985. The company was the first to develop software designed specifically for demonstrating plastic surgery procedures. We went on to have the first imaging systems operating in the Windows environment, the first high resolution digital cameras for photo archiving, and the first of many advanced imaging tools such as volumetric morphing and realistic skin resurfacing.
